Description
The Workforce Management Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the scheduling of employees to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. This includes forecasting staffing needs, scheduling and monitoring workloads, and implementing changes to optimize productivity. The Workforce Management Specialist will work closely with management and other team members to ensure that staffing needs are met and that schedules are optimized to support business objectives.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Forecast staffing needs based on past scheduling data, trends, and production metrics and adjust schedules to optimize productivity, accounting for seasonal fluctuations and unforeseen events like absenteeism and workload changes.
- Create and maintain employee schedules using scheduling software, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Maintain precise records of scheduling and associated data, and provide regular reports to management on scheduling trends, patterns, and other data analysis.
- Analyze scheduling data and work with management to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimize resources.
- Communicate with employees to inform them of their schedules, and any changes that may occur and to address scheduling issues or concerns.
- Monitor and track employee attendance and absences to ensure that staffing levels are maintained and that schedules are adjusted accordingly.
- Ensure that staffing levels are appropriate for business needs and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand.
- Respond to employee scheduling requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to scheduling, such as fill rates and compliance with scheduling policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Assume responsibility for other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience working in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in workforce management, scheduling, or related field preferred
- Experience using workforce management software and HRIS systems preferred
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
