SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating sales activity to ensure customer satisfaction and quality growth of Crenlo Engineered Cabs. In this role, you will lead cross functional efforts to unify the customer experience. You will be the main point of contact at plant level, knowing and managing the customer forecast & budget and acting as a commercial partner to the plant. You will answer customer queries, look for margin improvement opportunities, and look to identify new business opportunities among existing customers.
A successful Plant Sales Manager should work with the plant and the customer to maintain excellent visibility on forecast and budget, build and maintain long lasting relationships with the customer, help lead and solve customer-plant issues, and look for opportunities to improve profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and maintains personal relationships with customer accounts.
- Provides sales team with detailed information on any customer issues and opportunities.
- Reviews and provides all necessary reports and information sent to management on forecasting/budget, new product development, account margins, and cost reduction programs.
- Manages and coordinates customer accounts sales activity.
- Monitors quote creation, performance, and maintenance. Reviews actual predicted cost and standard. Quotes rates to actual demand.
- Reviews and monitors strategic planning, quality control, engineering, tooling, weight variance issues, and status of new projects.
- Provides input into the demand forecast process; SIOP’s. Populating current customer forecast spreadsheets.
- Coordinates and oversees customer accounts visits, plant tours, and scheduled meetings.
- Coordinates with plants MPL (CSRs)/Plant Management. Understands plant issues that may affect customer.
- Reviews and revises customer accounts pricing, as necessary.
- Maintains or supervises the maintenance of all-necessary records, files, and reports.
- Manages contract review and maintenance by communicating performance throughout the process:
- Contracts and LOI
- Contract addition of Pace requirements
- Quarterly review
- Communicating to plants, pricing
- Liaising with legal counsel
- Monitoring dates, targets, cost downs etc. to a schedule
- Participates actively in New Product Introduction (NPI) process; assists and coordinates set up.
- Monitors performance of terms, tooling, and order payment
- Reviews corrective actions to the customer scorecard report working with both Operations and Quality Departments.

WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER:
- Work Hours/Status: Regular Full Time, 40+ hours/week
- Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel required.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law, compliance, trends, new technologies and best practices in areas of responsibilities.
