| Position Summary | Organization: Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation Location: 290 Prairie Star Rd., Santa Ana Pueblo, NM 87005 An Off-Campus Work-Study position - MUST have a Work-Study Award Notah Begay III Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization seeking an undergraduate or graduate work-study student for the position of Health Champion who will support Native American childhood prevention initiatives, including research and communication. The NB3 Foundation seeks students interested in being part of a larger movement to support Native American children’s health by researching interventions, curriculum and measurement tools. There will be a research focus on physical activity and nutrition. We seek committed students able to work approximately 15-20 hours per week with strong interpersonal skills who work well independently and in a teamwork environment. | Minimum Qualifications | Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. |
| Preferred Qualifications | Minimum Qualifications: Student in a field related to health and wellness, Native American studies, urban planning, food systems and health policy. Preferred Qualifications: Self-starter who can work well independently and is detail oriented. |
