Job Summary:
This position serves as a liaison between dependency case managers and school district staff for K-12 students, as well as works jointly with daycares and caregivers of early childhood education students. This position works directly with school district staff to coordinate services and improve the quality of academic progression. This position is responsible for facilitation of high-risk staffings for students at risk of academic failure due to lack of attendance and/or ungovernable behaviors. This role has the potential for participation in, or consultation on, multi-disciplinary (MDT) staffings for the purpose of a change in educational setting. This position is also responsible for oversight of the Rilya Wilson hotline and for ensuring any daycare-aged children experiencing multiple absences are contacted or seen, as deemed appropriate, by their assigned case managers. This position is responsible for identifying behavior-based daycares and demonstrating familiarity with their offered services, as well as identifying community resources that can provide intervention in other daycare settings. This role will also provide oversight and technical support to an alternative educational program.
Essential Duties:
- Facilitate High Risk staffings
- Assist with obtaining education records such as IEP/504 plans and educational summaries
- Collaborate with daycares and caregivers to meet the needs of early childhood education students.
- Collaborate with community service providers to become familiar with various early childhood education resources and interventions to better support caregivers and case managers in accessing services.
- Participate in SB 80/MDT staffings.
- Assist in the oversight of the AMI contract deliverables and provide technical support to AMI and Man Up and Go staff as necessary to include student identification and enrollment.
- Assist with identification and enrollment of appropriate foster youth in a GED program.
- Provide trainings system partners and education partners regarding various areas to included system of care, education supports, contract related services, and early education.
- Manage the Rilya Wilson line and complete follow-up tasks as necessary.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree with a concentration in education, human services, psychology, or social work from an accredited college or university required.
Experience:
Child welfare experience preferred; preference will be given to applicants who are familiar with Tampa Bay Area school districts and/or have some experience working within a school district/setting.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
Valid drivers license.

Other Requirements:
- Clear a Level II background screening.
- Clear a reference check.
- Clear a local background check from the County in which you reside.
- Clear a substance abuse screen.
- Provide a copy of all degrees prior to your first day of employment.
- Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check and must be insurable under the company’s automobile policy.
- Provide copy of automobile insurance.
- Provide proof of and maintain a minimum personal auto liability insurance level $100,000/$300,000 if deemed to be a driving risk.
