POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Project Accountant partners with operational and finance leadership to analyze and report on client project profitability. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of ITA Group’s Employee Experience and Customer Solution Lines, leveraging expertise in accounting, finance, and project management. Key responsibilities include financial tracking, reporting, and performance analysis, as well as leading budget-to-actual reviews, revenue trending, and profitability forecasting. The position also encompasses specialized corporate accounting functions and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate and timely financial insights.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Experience within client service and/or project-based professional settings a plus.
- Minimum of three years of related work experience.
- Advanced Excel skills, complemented by strong understanding and proficiency with accounting systems.
- Understanding of U.S. accounting principles, specifically around timing of revenue and expense recognition for project-based scenarios. IFRS exposure a plus.
- Ability to apply analytical thinking and ability to communicate this thinking to others in an understandable fashion.
- Ability to learn quickly, be resourceful and conduct daily tasks independently and in a proactive manner.
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with all team members, internal sales team and internal customers.
- Excellent time management, strategy and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of displaying a sense of urgency, sense of ownership and a sense of accountability. Must be hands-on team player.
- Ability to help lead the company toward more automated processes.
