This is a full-time on-site position located in Woodland, WA. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, 7 paid holidays (after 90 days of service), and generous PTO accruals from day one!
Job duties included, but not limited to:
- Correctly sets up and operates 10 color central impression press;
- Report all maintenance problems as soon as issue is discovered;
- Learn to read and understand work orders and correlating S.O.P’s;
- Follow all required information instructions on work orders;
- Continuously check print during run and monitor ink density, dot gain, color, register, print to start, repeat, web width, etc;
- Maintain the proper flow of roll tags to insure accurate paper/film usage and inventory;
- Perform proper startup, clean up and shut down procedures;
- Properly fill out and maintain QC database at job start-up and completion of every printed roll.
Requirements
- Must have 3-5 years Flexographic printer operator experience including experience with wideweb and CI presses;
- 3-5 years Experience Printing in water & solvent based inks;
- Understand film and paper web tension and taper;
- Understanding of printing terminology;
- Able to troubleshoot problems and report back to supervision for corrective and preventive actions;
- Successfully operate X-Rite spectrodensitometer color proofing system;
- Understanding of color theory.
