What you’ll do:

• Provides radio frequency (RF) and RAN network interference identification, location, and mitigation.  Location and resolution of external interference. 

• Location and resolution of passive intermodulation (PIM). 

• Travel up to 15% of the time out of the market.

• Required field work over 75%.

• Analysis of key statistics of cell site performance related to the occurrence, and resolution of external interference/passive intermodulation. 

• Assist other Operations personnel with transmission, line, hardware, and antenna issues when needed. 

• Documentation of external interference cases. 

• Engage property/business/government entities of the public to identify and resolve interference issues

• May include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) performance analysis & drive testing.

• Analyzes RAN data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all key indexes and performance indicators.

• Designs, plans and oversees installation, maintenance, and optimization, and/or performance of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment.

What you’ll need:

As a Sr. Specialist RAN Engineering, you will be responsible for providing radio frequency (RF) and/or Radio Access Network (RAN) design.

• Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years of related experience

  • Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role

• Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience preferred

This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&Ts compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Our Sr Specialist RAN Engineering, earns between $96,000 - $144,000 annually.  Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
