If you are hired, here's what you’ll do...
- Welcome and greet customers when approaching or leaving the pharmacy.
- Provide customer service by answering phone calls, responding to emails and resolving customer issues.
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies in the pharmacy department.
- Perform operational tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and labeling medications.
- Prepare medications for patients by counting tablets, measuring ingredients, and/or mixing solutions.
- Learn about new drugs that are being developed or old drugs that have been discontinued or changed.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing patient records and processing insurance claims.
- Observe interactions between patients and pharmacists to ensure that medication instructions are followed correctly.
- Clean and sterilize equipment used in dispensing drugs such as inhalers or syringes.
- Communicate with physicians to clarify prescription orders or to obtain approval for new medications.
- Perform other tasks as directed by a pharmacist.
Requirements
A few things you’ll need…
- Candidates must be 18+ years or older
- Complete a pre-employment background check
- A final year student or recent graduate.
- Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology
- Valid license to practice as a pharmacist
