Thermal / Vacuum Test Technician na Expleo

We are currently looking for a Thermal Vacuum Test Technician to support our world leading clients in their Environmental Test Labs.

The role is to support mostly on day Shifts. Optional additional support on Double days & weekends (weekends would be considered overtime & paid accordingly) may be required.

The role would suit a technician / mechanic from other industries who wishes to change career.

Responsibilities

Perform the operational preparation work and the technical support to enable vibration test execution testing, including the following:

• Execute thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing on spacecraft hardware in accordance with established protocols.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate test equipment based on detailed test plans.
• Monitor test performance, collect and analyze data, and ensure accuracy and compliance with mission standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet rigorous space qualification requirements.
• Maintain test instrumentation, facilities and equipment
• Perform daily / Monthly Audit routines
• Responsible for delivering On Time, On Cost and On Quality

Essential skills

• Hands-on experience in assembling mechanical test rigs, or similar, and interpreting technical documentation.

• Capable of working independently with flexibility to accommodate non-standard working hours.

Desired skills

• Solid knowledge of thermal vacuum testing techniques and associated mechanical processes.
• Knowledge of bespoke test facilities to achieve test specification requirements
• Ability to support internal and external audits
• Good communication skills to liaise with internal and external customers about their projects

Experience

The following experience would be beneficial:

• Prior experience working in a commercial test laboratory setting.
