The Role:An Associate’s primary responsibility is to support the Lead Advisors in all aspects of managing client relationships. This includes but is not limited to anticipating client needs, advising clients, providing operational assistance, and collaborating with all team members to seamlessly serve clients. Associates should expect to perform the following:
- Develop an understanding of each client’s financial situation including their goals, time horizon and risk tolerance
- Collaborate on the systematic preparation of investment recommendations and rebalancing to ensure the asset allocation is aligned with the client’s goals and objectives; confirm efficient and accurate implementation
- Be able to effectively articulate the firm’s investment philosophy; adhere to our investment process, asset allocation models and manager selection, leveraging internal resources as necessary
- Assist with the preparation of client meeting materials
- Review performance reports for accuracy; develop the ability to articulate details and concepts within the report
- Collaborate with the Lead Advisor to onboard new clients; assist in the opening and titling of new client accounts; confirm addition to reporting portal
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other advisors and teams on best practices, goals and initiatives for the practice
- Processing and monitoring client transactions, proactively communicating completion/issues with team members
- Support operations, marketing and client service, as needed and/or requested
- Seek ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance technical, interpersonal and business development skills
The Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
- Desire to pursue a professional designation (CFP®, CFA®, CIMA® preferred)
- Experience with Advent Performance Reporting Software (particularly Black Diamond) and/or MoneyGuidePro Forecasting Software preferred
- Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player; advanced problem-solving skills; well organized and strong attention to detail
Compensation and Benefits
Our firm offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being, growth, and long-term success of our people. Salary Range: For individuals hired to work in New York City, the expected salary range for this role is $72,500 to $96,500. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
Benefits: Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. Employees may enroll in the firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire.
