Driver Recruiter Duties and Responsibilities
- Locate potential employees who meet DOT and company standards
- Pre-screen potential applicants
- Inform applicants about our operations and the benefits we offer
- Schedule driver orientations and road tests
- Utilize social media platforms and other search engines to generate leads
- Develop and oversee recruiting or referral programs
- Make personal Safety and the safety of everyone around a top priority
- Obtain and communicate complete accurate Candidate information to the appropriate Department, Terminal or Staff
- Work with 55 Terminal Locations nationwide to fill current and future open Driver Positions.
- Record potential candidates in company software – TMW
- Keep accurate records of the complete Recruiting Process
- Certify & Qualify potential Driver Candidates as defined by Pratt Logistics Company Policies
- Work closely with the local plants Shipping Managers, Logistics Managers, Safety Manager and Human Resources to ensure strong communication on all aspects regarding the Candidates On-Boarding Process.
- Daily generate a minimum of 40 - 1st Time Calls per day
- Meet or exceed a minimum quota of 4 New Hires Per Month upon completion of training
- Return calls to all candidate VM messages in a timely manner
- Communicate with Department Manager or Safety Department regarding the status of the Pending & Processing Driver Applicants for Approval to proceed.
- Keep Recruiting Manager informed of any areas of concerns as related to any potential candidates
- Suspend the Recruiting Process related to any Candidate in which additional disqualifying information is received and verified
- Attend morning meetings and provide clear concise information related to the onboarding process of new or high probable Candidates.
- Foster and promote Driver Retention through our department
Driver Recruiter Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Bachelor's degree in human resources is a plus
- Prior Sales or recruiting experience preferred.
- Trucking or transportation experience a plus
- Strong Communication skills and be a great communicator. Bilingual is a plus.
- Basic computer skills
- Professional appearance and dress in a professional manner
- Available to attend Trade Shows, Job Fairs and venues to solicit Candidates – 10% Travel Required
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize time with Candidates, Qualify and Identify Talent.
- Must be self-motivated and operate with a high sense of urgency while also effectively work well within a team environment and ability to work in a call center environment.
- Ability to prioritize/organize and work well in an ambiguous environment with ever changing and competing demands. Must have strong organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
Employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
