Position Description
The IT Support Technician II's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of basic hardware and some software support and maintenance. This position will also specialize in hardware and software relevant to the department or unit.

Major/Essential Functions
- Coordinate and support examination delivery for medical students, including setup, technical support, and collaboration with other teams in the Office of Academic Affairs.
- Deliver responsive software and hardware support to medical students, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Office of Student Affairs.
- Manage Mediasite lecture capture operations, including scheduling, troubleshooting, and post-session quality assurance.
- Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of IT and AV equipment, including tracking of surplus and assets.
- Set up and maintain user workstations, printers, and peripheral devices for the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Student Affairs.
- Collaborate with centralized IT to ensure consistent support and service delivery for students and the Office of Academic Affairs.
- Collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to enhance the effectiveness and accessibility of educational technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with technical troubleshooting and support skills in tech support within higher education.
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as C# and SQL.
- Experience with learning management systems and educational software.
- Familiarity with exam administration platforms. (e.g. Exam Soft)
- Experience in managing device imaging and inventory systems.
- Experience using data analysis skills to assess app performance and user engagement.
- Experience using Microsoft applications.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus one (1) year related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.
