This position leads all sanitation aspects of the food facility, including but not limited to complying with all quality, sanitation and safety requirements.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Collaborate with the QA manager and plant management team. 
• Develop and deploy sanitation standards. 
• Provide technical assistance for various sanitation objectives. 
• Lead daily operations of the sanitation department. 
• Perform daily facility walk-throughs to ensure proper sanitation standards are being met. 
• Perform weekly sanitation document checks and signoffs. 
• Work with chemical supply vendor and plant laundry service provider. 
• Support food safety and plant safety teams by monitoring procedures and practices of production and milling personnel. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Well organized with attention to detail. 
• Prior management experience. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Ability to make decisions. 
• Experience and knowledge of manufacturing procedures. 
• Willing to learn new skills. 
• Ability to provide hands-on training when needed. 
• Ability to fill in for sanitation staff shortages,
• Computer literate.
