Facilities Maintenance Manager

Description:

The Facilities Maintenance Manager ensures the operational efficiency of all field equipment and systems, implementing regular maintenance protocols, troubleshooting, and repair services. This role is integral in optimizing performance and preventing downtime, which in turn impacts the company's overall performance and customer satisfaction. The Field Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in the daily operations and is committed to fostering a team-oriented environment where safety, quality, and service excellence are top priorities.

Responsibilities:

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and performance optimization of equipment and systems across all field locations. This includes developing and executing preventive maintenance plans, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning at its highest potential. The role also requires the ability to work closely with other team leaders to maintain an efficient workflow, ensure compliance with safety standards, and minimize equipment downtime to support overall operational goals.

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities for field equipment and locations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs to maintain equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Work closely with general managers and operation teams to address maintenance needs and ensure operations are not interrupted.
  • Responsible for the administration of the repair reporting system MaintainX.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order equipment when necessary.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues before they occur.
  • Coordinate the ordering and inventory management of parts and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards while performing maintenance duties.
  • Provide daily reports on maintenance activities, repairs, and any equipment failures.
  • Partner with Operations Management on new equipment installation, technician performance, and safety concerns at sites.
  • Coordinate with General Managers to facilitate repair progress, past repairs, equipment knowledge, and general support from technicians.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure equipment checklists are being completed.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve maintenance processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and development of maintenance team members.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all team members, management, and other departments.
  • Perform other related duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of field activities.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a maintenance role
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Proven experience in strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, while adhering to safety and operational standards
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular hours
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance coverage
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously while ensuring all work is completed on time and to a high standard
  • Perform regular inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure they meet operational standards
  • Foster a culture of safety, ensuring that all employees follow the necessary safety protocols and report hazards
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of parts and tools, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand for efficient repairs
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide support during equipment malfunctions or breakdowns
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with legal, environmental, and company policies

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons (heat of the summer, cold of the winter)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach to perform job duties
  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in tight or confined spaces and climb ladders as necessary (up to 12ft)
  • Alert and able to maneuver around moving vehicles and equipment
  • Able to safely navigate uneven terrain and lift heavy materials when required
  • Ability to respond quickly to sounds or unusual noises indicating a potential mechanical issue
  • Must have the ability to be mobile and engaged with team members and field equipment at various locations
