What You’ll Do: We are seeking an Application Developer to provide technical competencies and systems knowledge in support of our applications. This person will be a developer for distributed systems within the Life Company. This includes system administration, report creation, data base design, and implementation of data extraction and transformation processes.
The Application Developer will conduct research and maintain high level of knowledge in systems software/hardware to ensure operations and implementations are of the highest quality.
What you’ll do:
· Develop new and maintain existing applications as per specifications including developing application code, testing completed applications, and developing required documentation as defined by company development standards.
· Conduct research and maintain high level of knowledge in systems software/hardware to ensure operations and implementations are of the highest quality. Assist the business with process improvements where needed.
· Keep Application Development Manager, Project Manager, and team members informed on status of deliverables.
· Design technology configurations to satisfy business requirements and create, execute and maintain project plans for life systems.
What does it take to join our team?
· College degree or equivalent, plus 2-5 years relevant experience required.
· C# and .NET experience.
· Experience with distributed development and strong understanding of the development lifecycle.
· XML and SQL experience would be beneficial.
· Must understand the inter-relationship between business and technology needs.
· Knowledge of multiple IT platforms, best practices and a familiarity of current application development.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to work in the office at least 3 days a week (hybrid model)
