Job Description
This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Client Development. Leading at a national level across Terracon, you will define and lead the strategy by working with service line and strategic sector leadership and divisional client development and operations to coordinate growth initiatives across the company. You’ll also work closely with corporate and divisional marketing to define client needs, messaging and promotional channels.
You’ll spend your time engaging with both internal employees and external clients. Since Terracon is a highly collaborative organization, the internal focus will be influencing and partnering with others to achieve growth. As for external clients, you’ll work with sector and service line leadership, marketing, and divisional teams to target specifics markets and clients and engage through marketing communications, meetings and conferences. This can be a remote position but needs to be within reasonable distance to an airport for travel.
Essential Functions, Skills, and Abilities:
- Collaborate to develop a strategy for Terracon’s Select Site lifecycle phase, including short- and long-term growth objectives.
- Work with local, regional, and national company leadership in building alignment for the execution of strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with Terracon strategic sectors and other national managers on overlapping growth strategies and implementation.
- Understand market trends, analytics, and opportunities; adjust short- and long-term strategies as needed; and communicate information to the rest of the company.
- Develop client and business opportunities that align with our core services, risk tolerance, and financial objectives.
- Promote and sell Terracon’s services and products such as environmental, geotechnology, Pivvot and Stage1 to Select Site clients. Work with Terracon’s leadership in these areas to develop and enhance our offerings.
- Lead sales efforts specifically for the growth of subscriptions for our Pivvot product to Select Site clients.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop messaging for presentations, proposals, digital campaigns, webinars, conferences and other areas that promote the growth of revenue in this lifecycle stage.
- Lead internal teams that champion the promotion of business opportunities in this lifecycle stage.
- Attend conferences and client meetings to support growth.
- Establish, track and report key metrics of performance, including follow-on work obtained in other phases of the lifecycle due to services provided in Select Site.
- Ability to drive change and adoption through leadership and influence.
- Foster a continuous safety mindset personally and within the lifecycle phase’s influence.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline practices including Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or Geology, and at least 10 years of relevant work experience in the engineering and/or construction industry.
- Strong ability to influence without authority and facilitate and maintain successful teams of individuals who report to others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills focused on responding to executive leadership, client requests, and owner/stakeholder needs.
- Strong safety mindset, acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background check, and drug screen required.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
This position has been categorized as a "Remote Only" position. “Remote Only” employees do not have a designated workspace at an office, and typically work from home or another location.
The national standard salary range for this position is $108,200-$167,700. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
