Job Summary:
Lucchese Boots are the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. The Lining cutter is responsible for inspecting and cutting leather with high standard. In addition, this position will be aligned with Lucchese values, consistent policy administration and a safe work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
All responsibilities mentioned below can be modified but not limited based on the company’s needs.
- Retrieve leather from the warehouse department to the production floor.
- Revise the quality of leather.
- Search and pull the correct die (size and model).
- Place leather on the cutting table to make necessary cuts.
- Use of Hydraulic machine to help in the cutting process by pressing and putting pressure over die.
- Must meet the required goal for the day.
- Must make the most cuts as possible to avoid waste.
- Once leather is completely cut, then put parts aside on the workstation for supervisor to pick up.
- Give minimal maintenance to machine.
- Notify supervisor when machine needs additional maintenance.
- Always keep the work area clean.
- Assist other departments when necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:- Training: Open to learn and perform cross training in different areas.
- Communicating: Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing and maintain confidentiality.
- Leadership: Ability to lead by example and obtain support from co-workers and work independently and as part of a team.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects. Ability to work in a fast-paced/stressed environment while maintaining safety. Ability to perform all job functions in adherence to Lucchese philosophy and values, policies as well as the Environmental, Health and Safety standards and responsibility for housekeeping in the assigned area.
