Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Processing Specialist to oversee the accurate input, auditing, and retention of processing records. This role is critical in ensuring controlled data entry, inventory accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective communication across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills, with experience in a team-based manufacturing environment.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Input and audit processing records to ensure accuracy and compliance within the ERP system.
  • Initiate and complete dump and batch records following TTB-approved formulas and quality specifications.
  • Maintain and verify retention of all records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that processing inventory records are current and accurate.
  • Arrange cycle counts and physical inventories, verifying quantities at the end of each month in coordination with the Processing Manager.
  • Maintain raw material inventories and receiving records for bulk spirits within the ERP system.
  • Calculate product batch amounts and communicate required information to processing teams.
  • Communicate between the lab and processors regarding quality-related information.
  • Calculate bottling and processing gains/losses, investigating and reporting any significant variances to Processing Manager.
  • Assist with the physical inventory of tanks and bottling materials.
  • Generate reports on bottling and processing operations for meetings and budgeting purposes.
  • Assist processing operators on an as needed basis. 
  • Ensure commitment to the company’s ISO program, including maintaining product quality and food safety standards.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematics, analytics, and inventory counting.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. 
  • Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Detail and outcome orientated with the ability to analyze and interpret data.  
  • Reliable transportation to the assigned workplace.  

 

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day; frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee must be able to physically navigate around a plant/production environment, including the repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.  
  • Frequent expose to fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures.
  • Must occasionally climb stairs, balance, and navigate elevated walkways in a plant/production environment.
  • The employee must have the ability to hear and understand verbal communication in person and over communication devices (phone, radio); ability to detect and respond to alarms, warning signals, and emergency notifications; ability to distinguish differences in tone, volume, and pitch for accurate communication. 
  • Capability to work in high-temperature environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis from floor to shoulder.
