Position: Client Service Representative (CSR)
Being a CSR in a veterinary practice takes compassion, multitasking skills, and the ability to connect with both people and pets. As the first and last face clients see, you play a crucial role in delivering a welcoming, supportive experience. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to clients in person and by phone
- Schedule appointments, manage records, create estimates, and process invoices
- Show empathy and professionalism in emotionally charged situations
- Maintain a clean and organized front office and lobby
- Educate clients on wellness plans, products, and services
- Handle opening/closing procedures, end-of-day reports, and deposits
- Manage data entry including patient records, client questionnaires, and referrals
- Distribute mail and ensure referral materials and lab results reach the right veterinarian
- Assist with patient intake and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a veterinary or medical office preferred
- Proficient in computer systems and front desk equipment
- Comfortable with basic math and payment processing
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and the ability to communicate it clearly
- Capable of triaging calls and walk-ins to determine urgency
- Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods
