About the Job: Salient is seeking a Full-Time, Temp to Hire Manufacturing Assembly Technician for immediate employment. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and have a desire to contribute to a team within a growing company, then this is the role for you. The primary function of this position is to assist with Inventory Controls and Production needs. The responsibilities include shipping and receiving product, cycle counts, staging product components for production, and cross-training to assemble finished goods. 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Kit production jobs in a timely manner
• Pull part orders to meet targeted ship dates
• Assist with oversight of non-inventory supplies
• Expedite materials as required to support production schedule and drop in orders
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation
• Log, count and inspect incoming materials, including RMAs & Returns, stock all accordingly
• Unpack and bench servers for assembly
• Pack completed orders, ready for shipment
• Perform shipping functions (UPS World Ship & FedEx)
• Cross-train to learn technical assembly builds, image deployment, and quality controls

• Ability to follow process and carry out instructions furnished in      written, oral, or diagram form
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small      group situations to other employees
• Critical Thinking Skills – an ability to identify a problem,      develop a solution and implement the solution
• Exercise FIFO (First In First Out) inventory practices
• Understanding of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP)

Required Skills/Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years’ related experience; material handler, planning, inventory controls, and production assembly
• Able to lift minimum of 40 lbs.
• Must be experienced with Microsoft Office
• Technical skills, working with Dell computers, desired
