Job Title: Associate Product Analyst, Search & Browse
Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Product Analyst to support the Search & Browse experience across JCPenney.com. This role will assist in shaping how customers discover and evaluate products, including homepage, navigation, search, PLPs, and PDPs. The ideal candidate combines deep user empathy with strong technical acumen to drive a cohesive and high-converting discovery experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support day-to-day management of the Search & Browse roadmap.
• Drive PLP/PDP enhancements to better support conversion, including content, media, variant logic, and real-time availability.
• Assist in documenting requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements.
• Partner with UX, engineering, and QA teams to ensure smooth execution of product initiatives.
• Help monitor site performance and customer behavior to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in testing site updates and validating fixes for defects.
• Track KPIs and prepare reporting for product leadership on search, navigation, and product detail performance.
• Contribute to competitive research and industry trend analysis to bring fresh insights into the team.
• Participate in A/B test setup and reporting, helping evaluate customer response to new features.
Qualifications:
• 1–3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or related digital/eCommerce roles.
• Strong interest in customer experience, digital retail, and product discovery.
• Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and willingness to learn deeper analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working in cross-functional environments.
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills:
• Exposure to eCommerce, retail, or digital product environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence.
• Basic understanding of A/B testing or site optimization practices.
• Interest in search, personalization, or recommendation technologies.
