Position Overview:

Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

• Monitor and implement adherence to all safety and department procedures, practices and directives.
• Operate material handling motorized equipment in the internal movement of parts, details and hardware and equipment in support of production requirements. 
• Interface with Traffic, Quality Control, Purchasing and other related departments 
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge and Educational Requirements: 

• Job knowledge requires vocational or similar training, including basic shop math to aid in the interpretation and the utilization of data from engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications and procedures.
• Knowledge of shop routines and practices is preferred.
• Intermediate skills of personal computers, including operating systems and file management is required.
• High school diploma or an accredited GED.

• Limited related experience
