Department: Conference ServicesJob Summary:
The Manager of Meetings and Events will serve as the key liaison between clients and the hotel once a group's event is confirmed. They will be responsible for planning and executing meetings and events for various groups, ensuring efficient management of function space and accurate forecasting to achieve or exceed budget targets. This role involves selling all hotel services, collaborating with vendors, and effectively communicating program details to hotel departments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute meetings and events, maintaining tight yield management on function space
- Sell hotel services and partner with vendors to meet event requirements or enhance programs
- Communicate program specifics accurately and in a timely manner to hotel operating departments
- Provide guidance and support to operating departments during group events
- Work collaboratively with peers to achieve organizational goals
- Uphold standards of continuous improvement, sustainable practices, community engagement, wellness initiatives, and exceptional guest service
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and possess solid knowledge of technology and social media platforms
