- Work to ensure that everyone inside the Yard, as well as subcontractors, are safe and are performing their work in accordance with HPSI CORE principals
- Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are communicated, understood, and followed
- Analyze current shipbuilding processes (business development, engineering, procurement, production planning, quality, project management, finance, HSE, HR, IT) and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead projects focused on digitalization, process automation, and application of innovative technologies within the shipyard.
- Facilitate coordination between engineering, production, and IT departments for process optimization initiatives.
- Design and implement best practices for planning, execution, and resource management with a focus on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Support the integration of digital solutions (such as MES, CAD, ERP and production scheduling systems) into existing workflows.
- Monitor project progress, document results, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders and management.
- Provide expert guidance and training to teams on optimized processes and digital tool adoption.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring sustainable impact across departments.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Hands-on experience in ship construction, design/production planning, shipbuilding systems, or application development/implementation.
- Strong understanding of future shipyard transformation, process optimization, and manufacturing best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-departmental projects and communicate technical information effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proven track record in innovation or process improvement within an industrial environment.
- Experience with digitalization tools for shipbuilding (e.g., MES, CAD, PLM, ERP) is highly desirable.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be executed indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.
