JOB DESCRIPTION

COMMERCIAL HVAC/R SERVICE MANAGER – FLORIDA

This position will primarily work in Miami, Florida and surrounding areas but will grow to include additional areas within Florida over time.

PAY RANGE: $40 - $50 PER HOUR, DOE

Silver State Refrigeration & HVAC, LLC., is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Manager for our Florida operations.  The position will be based out of Miami, Florida and will report to our Vice President of Commercial in Miami.  In the position’s infancy, while Florida operations are set up and continue to grow, this position will have a dual function: Performing service calls throughout and continue to manage technicians, and other service matters, until business grows to the level that would then transition the role to full-time management duties. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • STAFF MANAGEMENT: Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of service technicians.  Monitor their performance, evaluate training needs, and foster a productive work environment.
  • OPERATIONS OVERSIGHT: Direct daily operations, including scheduling service calls and coordinating with dispatch.  Ensure all repairs and installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Manage departmental budgets, oversee parts of inventory, approve quotes, and manage payroll and timekeeping for the service team.
  • SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies and all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS: Review performance data, such as sales and activity reports, to measure productivity against goals and identify areas for improvement.  All reporting and analysis to be provided for company leadership.
  • CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Service as a representative to manage customer accounts, handle inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and related electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, work plans, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role is required, often with significant field experience.
  • The ability to work independently, make appropriate business decisions that align with company goals, and still follow directives when coming from company leadership.
  • Specific certifications may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
