About the Department

Summit County Resource Allocation Park is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Gatehouse Technician to join our team. The Gatehouse Technician will be serving as the first point of contact for customers entering the landfill, recycling, and composting facility. 

Position Duties

Responsibilities include:

• Provide friendly and informed customer service through email, phone, radio, and in person interactions; process transactions through WasteWorks while accurately recording daily entries and collections.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with County policies and environmental regulations by monitoring incoming loads, and ensure the smooth and efficient flow of traffic through the site 
• Assist with accounts receivable work programs and data entry.
• Assist in litter control as needed. 

In addition to these operational tasks, the role requires strong analytical, technical, and administrative skills to support the SCRAP department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, accountability, leadership, and exceptional customer service when interacting with peers, internal teams, and external customers. Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND FORMAL TRAINING:

• High School Education is required. 
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Competent in Microsoft Suites

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

• Valid Driver’s License
