Position Description
Commercial Credit Analyst
Identifying Information:
- Department: Commercial Credit
- Reports To: Josh Hutt, VP Director Commercial Credit Analysis
- Status: Full-time Salaried Exempt
- Location: LCNB Operations Center 105 N Broadway St., Lebanon, OH 45036; potential for hybrid work after an initial training period, based on business needs
- Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Position Purpose:
LCNB National Bank is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to join our Commercial Credit Department. This position is responsible for Credit Analysis of commercial loans and working with Commercial Loan Officers, which includes both new and review requests. The Commercial Credit Analyst will verify that loan requests conform to Bank established lending policies and procedures. The role will include activities to manage the loan portfolio and other administrative duties.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Financial statement spreading
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of commercial clients, including reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Evaluate credit reports and assess the credit risk associated with potential and existing clients.
- Prepare detailed credit analysis reports and present findings to management for decision-making.
- Collaborate with sales and relationship management teams to understand client needs and provide credit solutions.
- Monitor and review existing credit accounts to ensure compliance with terms and identify any potential risks
- Portfolio management activities
- Confirm that all financial information provided by the customer is indexed in the document management system
- Ensure that borrowers have the proper regulatory rating
- Mentor Junior Credit Analysts
- Work with loan officers to help with timely financial statement collection and uploading to document management system
- Monitor adherence to loan approval requirements and loan policy
- Comprehend, retain and apply information as necessary to perform duties and responsibilities effectively
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Competencies/Skills:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis or a related financial role.
Desired Competencies/Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in underwriting commercial and industrial loans
- Knowledge of C&I and real estate lending
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to exercise good judgment and effectively problem solve
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with loan officers and credit analysts
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Desire to learn and grow, willingness to accept feedback
- Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency
- Effective Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, contracts, financial documents and other legal documents as needed
- Ability to understand and interpret various financial data and the impacts to customers
Working Conditions:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.

- Occasionally move/traverse to access files and equipment
- Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment
