Schedule: 4 days per week, working 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, working every 8th weekend, on-call every 8 weeks, 1-2 holidays per year
Minimum Qualifications & Certification/Licensure:
- Completion of certified nursing assistant program
 - Must be listed on the Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry and be eligible to work at state and federally certified facilities
 - Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
 - Highly motivated and organized with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills to help solve problems.
 - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
 - Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
 - Ability to keep up to date with policies, practices, and regulations.
 - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and capable of dealing with deadline pressures.
 - Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Unity.
 - Satisfy mandatory training requirements regarding local, state, and federal regulations and/or Unity’s policies and procedures.
 - Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
 - Ability to adjust to frequently changing demands.
 
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides services and procedures that are delegated, assigned and supervised by a Unity RN. These services and procedures are based on the RN comprehensive assessment of the patient’s personal care needs and documented in the Activities of Daily Living Plan of Care.
- Unity CNA staff can perform services/support in the following areas as directed by the RN:
 - Activities of Daily Living
 - Restorative Care
 - Skin Care
 - Mobility
 - Nutritional Support
 - Respiratory
 - Bowel and Bladder
 - Reinforce Teaching
 - Companionship and Support
 - Vital Signs
 - Reading of CADD pump settings
 - Report on pain rating
 - Maintain required competencies and skills
 - Report any changes in the patient’s condition or family situation immediately to the appropriate member(s) of the interdisciplinary team
 - Promote and maintain confidentiality
 - Shares in providing 24-hour, seven day-a-week coverage
