Compliance Analyst

Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt

Global K9 Protection Group LLC is looking for a dedicated and passionate Compliance Analyst to serve as an integral part of the security Team. This position supports our partnership with the Alabama Department of Corrections.

This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of our proprietary Global View monitoring software to ensure strict adherence to The State of Alabama Department of Corrections Canine Screening protocols.

 

Responsibilities: 

Compliance & Auditing (50%)

  • Conduct systematic audits of Global View proprietary monitoring software to verify compliance with Alabama Department of Corrections Canine Screening protocols and operational standards
  • Review and analyze canine screening documentation, incident reports, and performance metrics for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Identify gaps, deficiencies, or areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans in collaboration with operational teams
  • Prepare detailed compliance reports, audit findings, and recommendations for management and state oversight agencies
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all audits, inspections, and compliance activities in accordance with state retention requirements
  • Monitor changes to Alabama Department of Corrections regulations and update internal procedures accordingly

Canine Behavioral Analysis (30%)

  • Utilize Global View monitoring software to observe and evaluate canine behavior during screening operations
  • Identify and document specific canine behavioral recognition patterns, including alert behaviors, stress indicators, and performance variations
  • Recognize and report behavioral changes that may indicate health issues, training deficiencies, or environmental stressors
  • Collaborate with canine handlers and veterinary professionals to address behavioral concerns
  • Contribute to the development of behavioral assessment protocols and training materials
  • Analyze trends in canine performance data to support continuous improvement initiatives

Reporting & Documentation (15%)

  • Prepare accurate, timely compliance reports for internal stakeholders and Alabama Department of Corrections officials
  • Document all audit findings, observations, and recommendations in accordance with state and company standards
  • Maintain organized filing systems for compliance documentation, audit trails, and correspondence
  • Participate in quarterly compliance review meetings with state representatives

Collaboration & Communication (5%)

  • Serve as primary liaison between Global K9 Protection Group and Alabama Department of Corrections compliance officers
  • Provide guidance and training to field personnel on compliance requirements and best practices
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance processes and canine program effectiveness

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Be a citizen or national of the United States
  • 5-10 years of hands-on canine experience in detection, patrol, protection, corrections, law enforcement, or military working dog operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in canine behavioral recognition patterns and ability to identify subtle behavioral changes
  • Prior experience in compliance, auditing, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs preferred
  • Experience working with corrections facilities, law enforcement agencies, or government entities strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Animal Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Professional canine handler certification (e.g., NAPCH, IPWDA, or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • Completion of recognized canine behavior or training courses preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn and navigate proprietary software systems (Global View training provided)
  •  Reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work
  • Comprehensive understanding of canine behavior, body language, stress indicators, and performance patterns
  • Proficiency with computer systems, database management, and monitoring software applications
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and anomalies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them to operational contexts
  • Working knowledge of auditing principles and compliance methodologies
  • Must be able to pass comprehensive background check, including criminal history review, as required for work with Alabama Department of Corrections
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally to corrections facilities within Alabama
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Alabama residency or willingness to relocate to Montgomery, Alabama area
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while reviewing monitoring software and documentation
  • Ability to use computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor for prolonged periods
  • Occasional travel requiring ability to walk corrections facilities, including uneven surfaces
  • Visual acuity sufficient to observe canine behavior via monitoring systems
  • May occasionally be required to stand, walk, or work in varying environmental conditions during facility visits
