To monitor the fitness floor assisting members and guests as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

License /Certification
Required: Heartsaver AED

Preferred: Current certification from a national exercise training organization

Education
Required: Education or experience in athletic training, personal training, fitness instruction or exercise science.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential

Schedules appointments for Fitness Profile and Program Design appointments.

Answers phone calls at the Fitness desk and directs members to appropriate areas.

Answers questions regarding exercise programming.

Cleans exercise equipment recording damages or needed repairs. Organizes weight trees, straightens the fitness area, picks up towels, magazines and debris.

Maintains and cleans work areas: Fitness desk, group exercise rooms and rest rooms.

Circulates through the fitness area assisting members when needed.

Provides blood pressure checks to the members upon request.

Attends monthly staff meetings, annual in-services and vaccines as required by the hospital Kaweah Health.

Informs management of problems or complaints regarding the facility.

May be called upon to monitor Supervised Walking class.

Reports damaged or out of service equipment to the maintenance staff.


Additional

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$18.84 -$28.26
