DESCRIPTION
Madison District Public Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to serve as the Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, and maintaining a competitive and educational basketball program that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, skill development, and academic achievement.
 
QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma required
• Previous basketball coaching experience at the high school level preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the school community.
• Must meet all MHSAA coaching requirements, including CPR certification and completion of CAP (Coaching Advancement Program) training.

• Organize and oversee all aspects of the girls varsity basketball program.
• Plan and conduct effective practices focusing on skill development, conditioning, and game strategy.
• Promote and model good sportsmanship, respect, and leadership among players and staff.
• Supervise assistant coaches and coordinate with the junior varsity and middle school programs to ensure program alignment.
• Monitor academic performance and eligibility of student-athletes.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, athletic director, and school administration.
• Manage team equipment, uniforms, and facility use.
• Adhere to all district, league, and MHSAA rules and regulations.
