This role is responsible for unpacking laboratory products and shipments, stocking the departments and storage rooms, maintaining storage spaces, adhering to LEAN principles, data collection and review, product monitoring, ordering when needed, moving products, and disposing of waste, product issue resolution. Does require ability to lift and move heavy items, walk and stand or extended periods of time.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 0700-1530. No holidays. Weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Cleans equipment per low-level disinfection guidelines.
Maintains supply rooms and controls par levels based on needs of the unit.
Keeps track of special orders and reorders as needed.
Works with staff to develop bedside par levels to minimize interruption in care.
Helps to coordinate in-services for new equipment and supplies as needed by department.
Restocks the standby storage areas on the units or returns it to the equipment room.
Inspects equipment for proper condition and places broken equipment out of service for Biomed.
Equipment is checked for preventative maintenance (PM), safety inspections, and updates.
Tracks receipt of all equipment and monitors inventories of supplies.
Reports any back orders or delivery problems.
Responsible for daily tracking of rental equipment such as specialty beds, wound vacs and other medical machinery by physical verification and computer generated report verification.
Assists in the charge management process for equipment and supplies.
Communicates with Vendors, placing orders for rental equipment, receiving, and product returns.
Trains new Transport and Equipment and Supply Specialists in department processes.
Communicates effectively with professional staff and provide excellent customer service.
Tracks, cleans, maintain, and assemble orthopedic equipment such as trapeze bed frames, traction weights and pulleys, hot/cold
therapy machines, CPM, and lifts.
Responsible for maintaining decontamination equipment in working order and supplies in date.
• Maintains punctual attendance consistent with policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
Makes room to room rounds, when required, to locate equipment for the clinical staff.
Informs the manager when inventory is below par so adjustments can be made.
Maintains accurate records for staff to know equipment and supply locations.
Participates in all department quality improvement and quality control activities.
Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of accessing and using all department related computer systems.
Licensure/Certification
None.
Experience
One (1) year of experience in a customer service and/or healthcare setting.
