Management Level:
P4Tyson Foods is raising the world's expectations on how much good food can do. The Commerce Marketing Team is excited about the growth occurring within the company. The primary responsibility for this position is to plan, develop, and execute shopper marketing strategies and plans for the portfolio of brands at Walmart.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing strategic and tactical annual plans for Walmart.
- Improving marketing return on investment vs. prior periods.
- Managing and maintaining annual budgets.
- Securing alignment to and approval of plans among Tyson Sales teams, Tyson Brand teams, and Tyson Marketing Analytics teams.
- Conducting Strategic Business Analyses and identifying Key Business Drivers.
- Developing and executing innovation launch plans for supported brands.
- Managing and directing agency work.
- Guide the agency in project management for specific National Shopper KV Development and brand innovation launches - from creative concept to execution.
- Write or review agency assignment briefs and serve as the brand advocate during strategic and tactical discussions with Walmart Team.
- Conducting strategic business analysis and identifying key business drivers.
- Creating and tracking agreed-upon KPIs to optimize ROI and efficiency.
- Managing personal Travel and Expense budget and any other duties as assigned by management.
The successful candidate will:

- Ensure projects are completed with quality, on-time, and at or below budget.
- Perform at a high capacity to deliver against a significant volume of work and quick turn-around on unanticipated customer-generated requests.

Requirements
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or another business-related field required.
- MBA preferred, but not required.
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, sales, shopper marketing, eCommerce, and/or agency.
- Preferably on manufacturer-side and with a branded, consumer-goods company, or combination of supplier-side and manufacturer-side experience.
- Past Shopper Marketing experience preferred.
- Past Walmart or experience working with Walmart Connect preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on building Excel spreadsheets as analysis tools.
- Proficient systems knowledge and experience with syndicated data IRI Mintel Scintilla preferred.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Public speaking skills for presentations to senior management, peers, and customers required.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic skill sets based on a combination of fact-based shopper data and qualitative data to create customer visions for sustained business growth.
- Leadership by influence, not by role authority.
- Ability to comfortably sell ideas to others who ultimately will make the business decisions: Merchant, Sales Leader, Brand Manager, Sales Planning Team, Analytics Team.
- Work cross-functionally with a multitude of Brand Teams and Business Units who each have different processes and management styles.
- Ability to lead agency based on project management from creative concept to execution.
- Write agency assignment briefs, creative briefs, and be an advocate for Walmart.
Supervisory:
- This position will manage a dedicated agency team and must be able to motivate, delegate, manage, and empower this team.
Travel:
- 1-2 potential domestic trips annually.
