Job Description:
The purpose of this is to own the day-to-day performance of dentsu America’s treasury operations with oversite from the Treasury head and the Controller’s. Normal activities include but are not limited to, cash management, exchange exposure, credit risk management & discussions, reviewing forecasts for risks working with the business to develop strategies and action plans.
Treasury specific duties
- Manage the working capital monitoring and cash forecasting
- Work on short term cash forecasts for liquidity management
- Understanding the daily cash position and arranging overseas deposits as needed to anticipate and utilize excess capital
- Assist in optimizing capital structure given market conditions & policy.
- Manage our banking relationships & needed updates based on changing business circumstances
- Liaise with Working Capital Managers as needed to understand forecasts and support with payment needs specifically to assist with forecasting of balance sheet values for quarterly forecasting process with the working capital manager
- Assistance with analytics and commentary on financial results vs forecast of balance sheet – development of actionable intel for trends
- Assistance with Foreign exchange & related hedging
- Monitoring of credit insurance and client financial risks – review the forecast and prepare calculations for the premiums from provided data
- Liaise with team business contacts to discuss client risks and mitigation options
- Keep in contact with the insurer and global team to discuss specific client needs and mitigation options
- Develop and implement process improvements
- New documentation
- Create an “Intro to Finance Package” for USA finance in conjunction with other teams
- Creation and maintenance of SOP to document processes and move towards best practices with an eye to continual improvement

- Collaborate in preparing and delivering work to colleagues & clients
- Respond to requests for information quickly and accurately
- Engages with all work-related contacts in a professional and respectful manner
- Establish strong internal relationships with agency personnel
- Assist as a facilitator who can act to assist as needed in a variety of situations and considering counterparties needs and different points of view
Strategic Thinking & Leadership:
- Assess problems and concerns in a systematic, logical and rational manner
- Proactively resolve issues, know when to and to whom to escalate
- Guide team members nurture/promote team environment
- Assist in constructing and delivering accurate, honest and timely performance management documents
- Capable of managing multiple deliverables and ability to transition among them seamlessly
- Concerned with Day 2 and “so what” implications of management decisions
Communications Skills:
- Expresses oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
- Writes in a clear, compelling and concise manner
- Organizes ideas and information logically and sequentially
- Develop reports that are clear, compelling and persuasive
Qualifications:
- College or University Degree in business administration, finance or accounting
- Experience with Credit insurance is a strong asset
- CPA certification or working towards an asset
- Thorough understanding of the financial process
- Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
- Thrives in a fast pace, constantly changing environment
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Nice to Haves:
- Multi Lingual (Spanish, Portuguese)
- CFA
The anticipated salary range for this position is ($94,000-$152,375). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
