Position Duties

As Chief Port Operating Officer, you excel in leading complex maritime operations with a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution. You bring deep industry expertise and a strong understanding of financial, regulatory, and safety priorities, ensuring every decision supports operational excellence and long-term growth. Adaptable and forward-thinking, you embrace innovation and leverage data to drive efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Your ability to build trust and foster collaboration across diverse teams, labor partners, and external stakeholders sets you apart, while your leadership presence inspires accountability and a culture of safety and service. The Chief Port Operating Officer's primary accountabilities include:

• Operational Leadership and Effectiveness 
• Strategic Planning, Financial Management & Vendor Relations 
• Cruise & Cargo Operations Leadership
• Labor Relations & Union Collaboration
• Security, Compliance & Emergency Preparedness
• Stakeholder Engagement & Industry Representation

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience: 12–15 years in maritime transportation or logistics, with 8–10 years in terminal operations or management. Minimum of 5 years supervising staff and leading operational teams.

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Transportation, Logistics, Public Administration, or a related field is required. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
