Reports to: Director of Student Support Services

Status: Non-Exempt (hourly) 


Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education preferred; teaching experience preferred; excellent verbal and written communications skills; impeccable organization and management skills; creative in approaches and resourceful; confidential; efficient time management and prioritization.  Must have the ability to work efficiently in a demanding environment with times of high pressure in which a professional, calm demeanor and strong organizational skills are essential to consistently meet job requirements. The incumbent(s) will possess the skills, aptitudes and abilities to perform each duty successfully; and professes faith in Jesus Christ and accepts statement of faith of MPCS. 


Job Summary: The High school testing coordinator will update Accommodation Plans, apply for accommodations for high school students for standardized testing, arrange special testing for qualified students, proctor tests, and communicate testing arrangements with students. Administrative duties include digitizing and maintaining files. 


  • Registration with ACT as an official proctor (proctors may not teach or tutor any test-prep).
  • Availability six (6) weekends per year for ACT special testing.
  • Some remote summer work (applications for standardized testing are year-round). 


Requirements

 Key Responsibilities:


Apply for PSAT accommodations for qualified students through The College Board’s Services for Students with Disabilities (August/September).


With counseling and administration, coordinate testing spaces and proctors for students with accommodations for schoolwide mock testing in fall.


Proctor mock testing.


Apply for accommodations for official SAT testing for qualified students and follow up with students who are not approved or partially approved.


Apply for official ACT accommodations for qualified students and follow up with students who are not approved or partially approved.


Maintain parental consent documentation for all students with accommodations.


Assist students registering for the ACT with accommodations (year-round).


Coordinate proctors, proctor training, and proctor payments through ACT.


Coordinate testing materials for students for ACT testing. 


Complete requirements to qualify for school-wide ACT digital testing and ensure compliance of MPCS technology with IT.


Reapply for students for both the ACT and The College Board tests when reconsideration is necessary.


Apply for accommodations for all AP testers who qualify (January/February). 


Communicate the statuses of applications with families; some students will not be approved.


Communicate available dates and testing arrangements at school for ACT special testing to stakeholders.


Ensure all ACT tests completed at MPCS and timesheets are in compliance before shipping.


File all timesheets and shipping tracking numbers.


Proctor official ACT testing. 


Careful attention to detail and confidentiality of sensitive documents.


Excellent communication skills.Proctor official AP testing (March through May).


Accept the work at MPCS as a personal calling and identify as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ


Comply with conditions as stated in employee contract and handbook


Model appropriate Christian behavior in speech and actions
