High School Math Instructional Coach
Provide instructional coaching and support for teachers, to deepen their content knowledge in high school mathematics concepts. Collaborates with teachers to implement instructional strategies in math instruction, offer one-on-one coaching, modeling lessons, and leading collaborative planning to implement high quality Tier 1 instruction, providing job-embedded professional development and facilitating collaborative teams focused on improving rigor and student engagement in mathematics.
Position Funding and Duration Notice: This position is contingent upon grant funding. The school district is not obligated to offer or continue employment in this role if grant funding is reduced or no longer available. This is a one-year position for the 2024-2025 school year only.
The status of the position for the following school year will be reviewed and determined by May of each year, based on available funding and program needs.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
High School Math Instructional Coach Requirements/Qualifications:
Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate Level 1 or higher (TATs and PL certificates do not meet the requirements) in High School Math
Three years of successful teaching experience (as documented in evaluations and student growth) in the area of High School Math
Master’s Degree preferred
Salary Information
The salary for this position is based on the district’s full-year salary schedule. The actual salary will be prorated based on the employee’s start date and the number of contract days remaining in the school year. (Salary schedule is attached).
Working Conditions: Based at the District Office but also works in the schools.
