Ensures housing for Historic Sites is maintained and kept orderly to provide an environment where missionaries and support staff may have a positive and uplifting experience while serving at Historic Sites. Responsible for managing housing provided for missionaries and support staff at Historic Sites. Manage homes and apartment units. Assign units; oversee the maintenance of buildings and grounds; develop data for annual operating budgets and for special projects; may be required to find and lease additional apartments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast of the status of the facility and grounds.
  • Establish systematic preventive maintenance. 
  • Assign apartments, in consultation with Historic Sites Management, to maintain optimal utilization of capacity and compatibility of tenants.
  • Prepare and maintain work schedules for regular cleaning and repairs, special cleaning and repairs, and for special work assignments, and oversee repair work of volunteers, hired servicemen, or Historic Sites FM staff. 
  • Arrange for services and repairs beyond what is done by self, volunteers, or Historic Sites FM staff. 
  • Determine need, and develop data, for special projects other than normal maintenance which must be submitted to the Historic Sites FM Management for approval. Coordinate with the Historic Sites FM Management in project development and completion. 
  • In compliance with Historic Sites FM purchasing procedures, requisition or procure supplies, materials, and parts required for maintaining or repairing buildings, equipment, furniture, or appliances as necessary. 
  • Prepare data for inclusion in the Historic Sites FM operating budget concerning materials, supplies, equipment, furniture, and appliances for buildings, and fertilizer or other supplies for the grounds.
  • Be observant for, and correct, safety or security hazards in the buildings or on the grounds. Be observant for unusual people or happenings.

Qualifications

At least 7 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Managing and supervising employees/volunteers 
  • Project Management Finance and Accounting.
  • Working with contractors/vendors 
  • Facility Management experience helpful. 
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
