Title: IT Support Technician (US)

The IT Support Technician will be based in Richmond, be responsible for end user IT support activities at the primary office, and assist firm-based activities across all global offices as needed. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support Harris Williams end users on all equipment and productivity software provided, including laptops, mobile devices (iPhone & iPad), office-based and in-home setups. 
  • Image, configure, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot end user hardware and software.
  • Ensure video conferencing technologies are maintained and provide support/instruction to end user base.
  • Develop, document and implement support processes and procedures to assist end users with desktop utilities with continuous improvement in mind (ITIL-based principles).
  • Manage lifecycle of assets from procurement, break/fix and upgrades through retirement and disposal.
  • Assist in off hours support for all offices during working hours.  Duties include: Remote support of desktop incidents and service requests; deployment of patching or desktop configuration; support cross-functional testing of firm-based technologies. 
  • Support IT infrastructure (Networking/Server Admin) on an as needed basis. Duties include troubleshooting and remote support to the extent that experience allows.

  • Ability to occasionally travel between sites preferred.

Job Specific Education and Preferred Experience:

  • Level 1:  2-5 years of experience providing general IT level 2 support to end users.
  • Level 2:  5+ years of experience providing general IT level 2 support to end users. 
  • Experience in Office 365 administration and support.  MS 365 Fundamentals Certification preferred. 
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and learning of new skills while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Exposure or direct experience with ITIL principles. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Preferred).
  • COMPTIA A+ Certification
