The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our product area leadership team as our Director of Commercial Execution. This role is critical to our continued growth and operational efficiency, serving as a strategic partner to the product area director to establish and achieve our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of operational expertise, strategic foresight exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of achievement in commercial business environments.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Work closely with the product area director and product area leadership team to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and ensure their effective execution across the organization. As a component, create and implement a growth strategy enabling the business to exceed 3x current revenue to achieve the product line’s long-range financial forecast.
- Product Portfolio Management: Manage the overall product portfolio by making strategic decisions on investment priorities, product rationalization, and diversification.
- Operations Management: Oversee all day-to-day operational activities, including product development, supply chain, manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer support, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Resource Allocation: Optimize the allocation of resources (human, financial, technological) to meet business goals and maximize return on investment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional departments (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain) to ensure seamless execution of ongoing operations, projects and initiatives.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to operational processes, workflows, and systems to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall business performance. As a component, establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where needed to achieve desired performance levels.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate operational risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with all relevant industry guidelines.

- Education and Industry Experience: Bachelor's degree with a minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within the commercial and/or defense industries, with a deep understanding of its unique regulatory landscape, procurement processes, and technological advancements
