This job contributes to Starbucks success by serving as the voice of the Customer through the application of primary and secondary research, analysis and the synthesis/reporting of insights. The role leads the application of research methods, data analytics and/or synthesis of marketplace trends and competitive intelligence to generate actionable insights for the organization. This leader must translate business questions into research objectives and designs to inform business decisions while serving as a thought leader and consultant to their team, supported business units and enterprise leaders as a compelling and persuasive advocate for our customers and partners. As a director, Market Research & Insights, you will…

·       Expertise in Research Design and Execution: Independently takes ambiguous, vague business questions and translates into research objectives, Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and learning plans for self and team. Leads team through multi-stage research projects all aligned to supporting key elements of Strategy and Operating Plan.

·       Analysis and Storytelling: Brings deep knowledge of analytical approaches across both qualitative and quantitative research, leveraging both descriptive and inferential techniques while ensuring the team is applying methods and tools appropriately.

·       Thought Leadership and Business Consultation: Serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders (vp/svp,evp and c-suite) across the organization, bringing fact-based recommendations to support decision making. Models a high degree of collaboration with insights/analytics peers and cross-functional stakeholders.
