Title: Building and Grounds Coordinator
Qualifications:
1. Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports.
2. Demonstrated aptitude for the successful completion of tasks.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the basic techniques of custodial work and grounds maintenance.
4. Experience with school custodial services or the equivalent in custodial service in other institutions and/or firms.
5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving
Reports To: Director of Building and Grounds
Job Goal: To supervise, direct, and participate in the performance of all custodial work throughout the district. Coordinate and act as the main point of contact for all facility rentals throughout the district. Provide oversight for any buildings and grounds matters as required.
Performance Responsibilities:
Supervises cleaning and custodial schedules.
Arrange and schedule sub-custodians when needed.
Perform custodial administrative duties for the entire district.
Consults with building principals regarding the establishment of appropriate custodial seasonal work.
Orders and receives custodial supplies and equipment; maintains necessary inventories.
Sets agenda and general supervision of custodial employees in district buildings.
Recruits, screens, and coordinates the hiring and training of custodial personnel.
Calls meetings of the custodial staff when it is necessary for purposes of training or for morale.
Provides input and feedback to Building Principals on all Custodian evaluations.
Serves as point person to provide administrative duties and coordinate the Facility Rentals. Secure and schedule individual agreements. Provide information and cost recommendations for MOU’s to the Director of Building and Grounds and Assistant Principals for review and approval.
Responsible for overseeing the setting up and tearing down of equipment during special events; e.g., graduation, conferences, concerts, etc.
Performs other jobs and work as directed by the Director of Buildings and Grounds.
Terms of Employment: Year-round, full-time position. Full Benefits Package available.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
