Job Purpose
American Honda Finance Corporation is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist for Procurement department. This role is responsible for managing sourcing activities, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating contracts that comply with financial service regulations and internal policies. It serves as the primary procurement liaison, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams. Key accountabilities include project management, RFx development, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and maintaining master contract repositories. This role also supports the purchase order (P.O.) process, ensuring all purchases are aligned with internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To bring the future to Honda as a Procurement Specialist, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate contracting and procurement is required
- Prefer experience supporting a financial service organization or other highly regulated organization
- Experience with project management and business processes is desired.
Other Job Specific Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to manage sourcing projects from RFX to execution.
- Business knowledge of general business and procurement contracts, including best practices for structuring contracts based on purpose.
- Strong negation skills
- Working knowledge of data security and privacy regulations
Working Conditions
Additional Position Factors:
- Workstyle: Onsite (80/20 4 days in office 1 day remote)
- Travel 5%
