Blum USA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll help process, track, and record payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely transactions and strong vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Duties:
- Perform 3-way matching to verify invoice accuracy.
- Review purchase orders for proper GL and WBS coding.
- Post invoices using SAP with precision and timeliness.
- Monitor payment schedules to ensure vendors are paid promptly.
- Ensure documentation accuracy for payment, audit, and tax purposes.
- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and request missing invoices.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements.
- Analyze account activity to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end closing by reviewing POs for potential accruals.
- Lead or contribute effectively within assigned work groups.
- Perform special assignments and ad hoc projects as needed.
Additional Opportunities:
- May assist with Accounts Receivable tasks during team absences such as:
- Posting customer payments and payment tracking.
- Support the release of customer orders by ensuring invoice and payment accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure continuity of financial operations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable; exposure to A/R processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations required.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office 365 preferred.
- Strong data entry skills (10-key proficiency).
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and work assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to research, analyze, and report financial data.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
- Complies with national and local financial regulations.
