Job Description

As a Category Enablement Analyst - Retail Support Team, you’ll use the appropriate business tools, systems, processes and metrics to ensure efficient inventory management. This will help with anomaly stores, territory and regional store exceptions, store lifecycle needs or special customer needs. In this role, you’ll develop a foundational knowledge of supply chain concepts and build on that knowledge to deliver efficient solutions for stores and other business needs.  You’ll work with various internal partners, including business groups, space management, distribution, retail operations, field employees, forecasting and category enablement.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy Corporate Campus in Richfield, MN and some days virtually from home. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do
 
  • Manage demand planning functions as part of a support team to business groups and retail stores
  • Execute the demand planning activities necessary for store lifecycle needs, including analyzing, allocating and reporting the inventory for grand openings, relocations, remodeling and closings
  • Manage inventory needs for drive time strategies and supporting store local events
  • Efficiently resolve customer sales issues where product may need to be moved or allocated
  • Act as the first point of contact for field leadership, including holding weekly conference calls and providing coaching and mentorship
  • Lead working sessions with field leadership and other cross functional team members. Provide insight to supply chain performance and needs

Basic qualifications
 
  • 1 year experience in a retail environment
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic data or information analysis with an eye toward problem solving and drawing conclusions
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written

Preferred qualifications
 
  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience
  • Intermediate Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 1 year communicating with leadership of varying levels and can influence without authority
  • 2 years of experience in inventory management, merchandising, demand planning, supply chain, or retail experience.
  • 1 year experience performing data analysis in Microsoft Excel
