The Black Cultural Zone Community Development Corporation (CDC) is looking for an enthusiastic and curious IT/IS Specialist to join our team. WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our IT/IS Specialist, you'll manage the full technology lifecycle for the organization, from hardware and software to security and training. This is a role for someone who is tenacious and resourceful, with excellent troubleshooting skills and a high attention to detail.
- Manage Hardware and Tech Stack: You will manage the full lifecycle of BCZ CDC's hardware, including computers, cell phones, and audio/visual equipment, from research and recommendation to maintenance and troubleshooting. You will also maintain and configure our diverse tech stack, including AI tools, design software, CRM, and project management tools.
- Google Workspace & Security: You will manage and optimize our Google Workspace for Business platform, implementing new features and resolving user issues. You'll also implement and enforce robust security protocols, perform regular testing, and monitor system performance.
- Support & Training: You will provide essential support to the team through a support desk, remote assistance, and on-site support when needed. You'll also develop and guide training programs to ensure all staff members are proficient with our technology.
Strategic Planning: A key part of this role is designing and implementing a technology development plan to keep our infrastructure up-to-date and aligned with the organization's needs.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate for this role is a great problem-solver with excellent communication and people engagement skills. You must be able to work independently and collaboratively and be proficient in using AI apps and prompting. You should also have strong virtual work and technology skills and be able to work efficiently with a high attention to detail and excellence in performance.
- Education & Experience: You must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical support or system administration role is required, along with proven success in managing and maintaining technology for a remote workforce.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: We are looking for someone with expertise in Google Workspace for Business Administration, experience configuring and maintaining a diverse tech stack, and a strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices. You should possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, and be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential, as are time management skills. A passion for supporting Black Cultural Zone CDC’s mission and vision is a must.

We are committed to the well-being of our team members. This is a hybrid, part-time, hourly position of 30 hours per week. The salary for this role is $52,710-$68,661 DOE.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package for team members who work 30 or more hours per week, starting on the first day of the month after 60 days of employment. Black Cultural Zone CDC pays 100% of the team members’ premiums and 50% of their dependents’ premiums.
