Digital Book Production – Second Operator, Digital Book Plant
Full Time Regular (40 hours) – hourly
Located: New Kensington, PA
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday (OT as needed)
Salary range: $20.00 - $23.00

What you’ll do
Work with production team to achieve excellence and continued improvement
- Operation of digital cut sheet equipment in a high-volume digital print & bind environment.
- Set up and fine tuning of equipment by adjusting control to accommodate specifications of a job.
- Perform general maintenance of all machines and digital print area
- Inspect working parts and be able to recognize those that need replacement
- Constantly monitor quality and productivity of finished product to meet standards
- Conduct inventory control and management
- Shipping management of product
- Use effective time management and productive work habits to meet or exceed production schedule
- Be thoroughly familiar with all areas of job finishing sheet including folding, stitching, perfect binding,
- cutting, trimming and laminating.
- Process jobs using digital workflow software
- Be and excellent steward of company resources, including labor time and finances.
- Maintain an organized workplace
Who you are
This second operator position would be responsible for maintaining safe and profitable operations of our digital
print facility run by Bethany Press of Minnesota inside of Anchor Distributors’ facility in Pennsylvania.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, self-managed, and has past management experience, solid mechanical
aptitude, with experience in publishing, database, and digital file preparation preferred.
The candidate will be responsible to setup, run, alter and trouble shoot equipment, work with the Digital Lead to coordinate preventive and predictive equipment maintenance, coordinate receiving and shipping of product and materials and ensure smooth, profitable, and efficient communication/workflow between Bethany, Anchor and their respective customers.
Position Requirements:
- Able to work 40 hours, willingly work overtime as necessary
- Have a solid mechanical aptitude
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required to ensure quality control
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for entire production shift plus crouch, crawl, pull, reach & endure repetitive motions
