Child Study Team Member: School Psychologist OR Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant OR School Social Worker

The District is seeking to add a Child Study Team member and will consider School Psychologists, LDTCs, or Social Workers for the position.
The above position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, with a start date of November 20, 2025 or upon separation of employment from successful candidates' current employer.
DESCRIPTION:
Appropriate New Jersey Certification required, either Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant, School Psychologist, or School Social Worker
Participates in the evaluation, classification and placement of pupils with special needs
Assists in the development and coordination of an appropriate individualized education plan for each pupil requiring special education and/or related services
Consults with classroom teachers, administrators and parents regarding instructional methods, materials, and supports necessary to meet the specific needs of individual pupils
Participates in the development and delivery of in-service programs and parent seminars appropriate to the discipline and area of expertise
Serves as a case manager as assigned and maintains appropriate case records for in and out of district students
Performs all duties required as a member of the child study team by administrative code, state and federal laws and board policy
Knowledge of IEP development, student evaluations, case management
Experience in school-based therapeutic counseling (Social Worker and/or School Psychologist)
Strong interpersonal and technological skills
Effectively able to provide classroom and building level support
Additional Areas Preferred:
Knowledge and experience in the areas of developing FBA's & BIP's
Experience with PowerSchool & IEP Direct
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps for Education
Experience with middle school and secondary students preferred
Familiarity with the I&RS process
Minimum five years of experience as a child study team member
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Terms of employment: 10 month position
Salary range: BA Step 1: $54,643 annual salary for the 2025–2026 school year, subject to adjustment based on experience.
