Weekday Supervisor – St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS)
Location: St. Augustine, FL (Onsite)
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Make a difference every day at St. Augustine Youth Services! We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Weekday Supervisor to join our team and help guide youth toward brighter futures. This position plays a key leadership role in supporting our residential care program, supervising staff, and ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children with behavioral and mental health needs.

St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) provides therapeutic residential care, outpatient counseling, and community-based services for children and families. Our mission is to help youth develop the skills and confidence needed to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and support houseparents and direct care staff in our residential program.
- Ensure daily operations run smoothly and that child-to-staff ratios are maintained.
- Model positive behavior and maintain a home-like, caring environment for residents.
- Oversee and participate in the teaching of daily living skills and behavior management.
- Ensure staff follow all agency policies, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate or provide staff training, including CPI and First Aid/CPR.
- Step in as a Professional Houseparent when needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Medicaid, state, and CARF standards.
- Support youth engagement in educational, cultural, and community activities.
- Collaborate with the Program Director and Weekend Supervisor on staff evaluations and case management.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience working with children, or a bachelor’s degree in a related mental health field and 2 years of experience working with youth with mental/behavioral health needs (residential experience preferred).
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassion, patience, and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain structure and consistency in a therapeutic environment.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening and meet the Affidavit of Good Moral Character standards.
