Job Description: Field Team Coordinator

Position Overview

The Field Team Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all remote laboratory staff, including phlebotomists and laboratory technicians, to ensure high-quality service delivery at client sites. This role involves extensive travel to various locations to conduct training, perform client onboarding, coordinate staffing, and ensure compliance with CAP/CLIA guidelines through regular competency assessments. The Field Team Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and clients to guarantee appropriate staffing and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

· Staff Oversight and Management:

o Supervise and support remote staff, including phlebotomists and laboratory technicians, ensuring adherence to organizational protocols and industry standards.

o Monitor team performance and provide guidance to maintain high standards of service delivery.

· Training and Development:

o Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for remote laboratory staff to ensure proficiency in laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and client-specific requirements.

o Conduct ongoing professional development sessions to keep staff updated on best practices and regulatory changes.

· Client Onboarding and Relationship Management:

o Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and facilitate smooth onboarding of laboratory services.

o Act as the primary liaison between clients and the organization, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.

· Competency Assessments:

o Perform regular competency assessments for all remote staff in accordance with CAP/CLIA guidelines to ensure compliance and quality assurance.

o Document and report assessment outcomes, implementing corrective actions as needed.

· Staffing Coordination:

o Coordinate with clients to determine staffing requirements and ensure appropriate coverage at all client sites.

o Schedule and assign staff to meet client needs while optimizing team efficiency and minimizing downtime.

· Travel and Site Visits:

o Travel frequently to client sites to oversee operations, conduct training, and perform assessments.

o Ensure all remote sites are equipped with necessary resources and staff to deliver high-quality laboratory services.

· Compliance and Quality Assurance:

o Ensure all laboratory activities comply with CAP/CLIA regulations, as well as other relevant federal, state, and local guidelines.

o Implement quality control measures and monitor adherence to safety and procedural standards.

· Reporting and Documentation:

o Maintain accurate records of staff training, competency assessments, and client interactions.

o Provide regular reports to management on team performance, client feedback, and operational challenges.

Requirements

 

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, such as Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or similar credential preferred.

· Experience:

o Minimum of 2-4 years of phlebotomy experience required.

o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

o Experience with laboratory technician oversight preferred.

· Skills:

o Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide remote staff.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Description
$60,000.00
